A Conversation with Cometan | S2E15 | Recognition of Religion or Belief (RoRB)

For the first time, Cometan gives a brief exposition of his theory of recognitionism, namely how he sees recognition of religion or belief (RoRB) as being the necessary precursor to improving conditions and standards of freedom of religion or belief (FoRB). In this short lecture, Cometan provides some of his most recent findings from his doctoral research so far and the hypotheses he intends to put to the test as part of his PhD work. Cometan gives us an overview of why recognition is an important tool in the human rights field, the different types of recognition, and how recognition is both used and misused and what provisions and procedures can be put in place to encourage the former but reduce the latter.
