Home Made Smelter Build and Test

A very simple and inexpensive home smelter using a propane gas torch with a air jet draw intake, and some special ceramic foam insolating blocks witch are not hard to find, and a long propane hose. just to be save. We were able to get it up to 2480 degrees farinhite on the first run. We could not really open it up because it was starting to blow backwards. We will plug the holes around the pipe with some special insolating rock wool to seal it up better. We still need hotter.
