2Corinthians 12:1-6

1. Verse 1…
• Paul speaks of visions, revelations, and weaknesses
• Paul saw a supernatural unfolding of truth regarding Jesus Christ
• Paul gives this information reluctantly; he does not want to bring glory to himself.
2. Verse 2…
• “A man in Christ”
• Paul defines the timing and describes himself as a late comer to apostleship.
• He places his experience at a definite place.
3. Verse 2-4…
• His experience was by way of rapture. He did not go up by his own power.
• His experience was overwhelming
4. Verse 4…
• “inexpressible words unlawful for a man to write”.
• It was such an inspiration that Paul wet on 3 missions, wrote 13-14 books of the NT, and faced execution in Rome.
5. Verse 5-6…
• The experience gave him no right to boast.
• Great spiritual experiences must not be turned into personal gain. They are for the growth of the Kingdom.
