How to make easy apple pie filling
Prep time 20 minutes
Cook time 25 minutes
Makes 4 quarts
Ingredients
12 cups sliced peeled cord apples
2 3/4 cups raw sugar
3/4 cup clear gel
1 tablespoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon ginger
1/2 cup lemon juice
Instructions
1. In a large stainless bowl combine sugar clear gel spices and water bring to a boil on medium heat (do not use hard boil )stirring continually and cook until thickened and bubbles add lemon juice and boil one minute while stirring
2. Remove from heat and fold them Apples.Little pie filling into quart size jars. Wide mouth works best ! But Narrows can be used.
3. Leave 1 to 1 1/2 inch headspace because clear gel will expand in jar well water bathroom.
The bubble the jars with a D bubbling tool. Clean brim of jar with hot water or vinegar water.
Play some water bath for 25 minutes takeoff heat let sit for five minutes and then remove put on counter and let sit until completely cold
