🌺ALU LIKE NĀ KAMA🌺
Mahalo to all of the kama o Kauaʻi (the children of Kaua’i) that have worked together with “laulima” (many hands) to help create a foundation for the Pāʻulaʻula complex & the King Kaumualiʻi statue. We honor the kama as they are the future stewards of Pāʻulaʻula. Let’s celebrate the kama o Kauaʻi as we partake in the festivities, in June 2022.
PĀʻULAʻULA was the original housing & religious complex of King Kaumuali'i, in Waimea Kaua'i. It was renamed Fort Elizabeth Russian Fort after Gen. Schaffer of Russia went against the Czar's command of staying out of foreign affairs. Hawai'i is a sovereign kingdom. Thus, the change back to it's original name is a positive step forward in restoring Hawai'i to a sovereign kingdom as it once was.
