Silicon Valley Joins Washington’s War on Myanmar

YouTube has recently terminated the channels of multiple media organizations run by Myanmar’s government - citing violations of “community guidelines and applicable laws.”

Of course, nothing Myanmar’s government is even being accused of is worse than what the governments of the US or UK are doing - governments engaged in illegal wars of aggression worldwide - yet channels associated with these wars including the US Department of Defense remain on YouTube and in good standing.

This demonstrates that YouTube’s policies are politically-motivated and pursued in support of Western foreign policy - having nothing to do with “community guidelines and applicable laws.”

Nations and individuals worldwide who depend on YouTube and other US-based social media platforms need to find alternatives ahead of potential censorship.
