Come Holy One

Come Holy One.
A song or hymn written at the point of acceptance for an individual or group that has been searching, asking for a major change in life through divine intervention.
Seeking guidance whilst acknowledging divine authority. Giving witness to the Gospel and sharing prophetic scripture.

The song was written a long time ago but earlier this year I felt the need to visit it again and initially I had it in mind for it to be entered into the URC Jubilee at 50 competition when the contest was announced but as it does not fulfil the entry criteria [must have a jubilee / URC at 50 theme] it can just sit here to reach out to the lost souls or as a daily renewal for those already saved.

Come Holy One, in my life as my saviour
Come Holy One, be my shelter from all danger
Come Holy One, be my friend not a stranger
Come Holy One, bring your light into this world.

Come Holy One, you were laid in a manger
Come Holy One, shepherds there stood and praised Yah
Come Holy One, cousin of the proclaimer
Come Holy One, Holy One, you have come

Came into a world overrun by sin, you conquered death within
Came and reconciled man to God, Jesus you’re our Lord

Come Holy One, let your spirit dwell within me
Come Holy One, let your light shine on through me
Come Holy One, let your word whisper to me
Come Holy One, let your kingdom come

Come Holy One, be my strength and my rock
Come Holy One, be the way that I walk Lord
Come Holy One, be in every word I say Lord
Come Holy One, let your will be done

Come into the hearts of us this day, there in your love to stay
Jesus we accept you as our Lord, blessed Son of God.

The audio track was originally recorded in 1998 on a Tascam 4 track recorder with little to no skills or knowledge of sound engineering or musical experience so it certainly is not up to today's digital standards, a demo at best. Unfortunately the master has been lost and the song has never been performed or recorded since.
