Installing *NEW* Active EMG 81-7(White) 7-string Solderless Pick-up Kit, *Jackson JS22-7 DKA-HT*

Combining parts 1 & 2 of my new Mini-Series of installing/upgrading pickup, hardware in my Jackson JS22-7 DKA-HT 7-string. These vids show the process of me ripping out the stock/passive Jackson pickups as well as all of the of the other passive Electronics too. It actually took more work setting up to do all the work rather than actually doing the job hahah, but that's usually most jobs unless it comes to actually soldering the actual pickups/Electronics to the tone/volume pots. Which I've done NUMEROUS TIMES!

It honestly took me, maybe, 6-7 minutes to wire the 2 active pots( 1 volume, 1 tone), input jack, battery supply, 3 wires, and the physical pickup and its 2 wires lol. Literally just, plug and go! This year marks 23 yrs of my playing and roughly 16ish yrs doing repairs/Luthier work, and this has been by far! the most simplistic install/repair etc I've ever done! lol and today 05/21/2022 I finally tested out not only the Dunlop strings but the EMG 81-7....Let me just say WOW!!! Tone City to the absolute max! for the majority of my playing I've always swore by Passive Pickups, mainly Seymour Duncan, and I actually got sold on Actives a few years ago w/ Fishman Influence. those were outrageously overpriced so decided on the good ol' time tested EMGs, and yep!! I'll be installing EMGs in not only my other 20+ yr old 7-string Ibanez, but also, my Shredder 6-String Jackson.
