What discussions do Gods have?

One day Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati we’re discussing about destiny and can it be changed? The goddess pointed towards an ardent devotee of Shiva who would worship him every single day but he was extremely poor. The goddess requests Shiva to make him rich but he says that is his destiny I can’t do anything about it. But she still requests him to try. He places a pot of gold on the way on which the old man would walk down to the temple. That very day the old man decides to close his eyes and walk to the temple as he feels that he’s getting old and he might lose his eyesight but he would still continue to pray. The result? He misses the gold pot on the way.
