Leslyn Lewis defending Charter rights

So we're here with Dr.
Leslyn Lewis.
Dr. Lewis, I have just one question, which is
what do you think the biggest threat to
civil liberties in Canada is today?
The lack of respect and the lack
of defense for our Charter of Rights.
We have seen vaccine mandates used
to segregate people, demonize people.
We have families not speaking to
each other because of vaccination status.
We've also seen an imposition into
people's private lives, asking strangers, asking
other strangers about their vaccination status.
Me personally, I have adopted the policy that
I don't share that with strangers because I
feel that if I'm protected, I don't have
to worry about whether or not somebody else's.
And so I don't share my vaccination status with
perfect strangers because I believe in medical Privacy.
I also see it as a very big problem
that we have millions of Canadian citizens who are
unable to travel in their own country.
This is a freedom of mobility issue, and
we're seeing a constant encroachment on our Charter
of rights, whether it's our religious freedoms, whether
it's our freedom of speech, whether it's our
freedom of assembly or freedom mobility.
These issues are being encroached on, and
we must vigorously defend our charter.

因为我珍视健康隐私。

我也看到了一个巨大的问题。

我们有数以百万计的加拿大公民

无法在自己的国家旅行。

这是一个事关行动自由的问题。

我们看到宪章在不断被侵蚀：

无论是宗教信仰自由还是言论自由，

无论是集会自由，还是行动自由。

这些自由都被侵蚀。

我们必须全力以赴，

捍卫我们的宪章权利!
