Now this is a great adventure! Join us for another leg in the future 'new life' of these hand hewn oak barn beams that may be close to 100 years old (We found an old license plate from 1932!). We are mid stream in the process of salvaging these oak beams that were all cut by hand! These hand hewn oak barn beams are becoming very rare and very hard to come by! But before we get in to today's adventure here are a few video links to the first parts of this story and adventure:

Now for today's episode, join me and my buddy Phil as we head to a very remote Southern Illinois farm that is near the Garden of the Gods scenic area, located deep in the heart of the Shawnee National Forest down here in Southern Illinois. I will be hauling my bobcat e42 R2 series mini excavator there because I have to leave it to cut a new trail/road/path through the woods for the land owner as I bartered a trade for excavator work in exchange for taking down this old barn and keeping the hand hewn oak barn beams. My buddy Phil will be bringing his compact tractor with a grapple and pallet forks to help us load up the old oak barn beams. Needless to say it was quite a fun day trip adventure! Join us for all of the fun and mystery!
