Genesis: Contrasting Adam and Eve

Were Adam and Eve both direct creations of God? Were Adam, Eve, or both deceived by Satan? Did God curse both Adam and Eve, or only one of them? Was creation cursed because of Adam's sin or Eve's sin? Why did God place Adam over Eve in the marriage and family?
