Binding of Isaac Repentance is so Good

Bigger than a Sequel. Thats the advertising used for the latest expansion. With the dozens of new items, bosses, and enemies being added it's hard to disagree.

Binding of Isaac Repentance just launched and it's reminding all of us why we loved this game in the first place.I can't remember the last time I actually had a deep sense of discovery in a roguelike.

Things like dead cells and risk of rain 2 are great but Isaacs sheer volume of items that it's had the advantage of adding over the years is just so vast that I can consistently jump in and see stuff that I've never actually seen before. The fact that Edmund Mcmillen has worked closely with the fans that developed the Antibirth mod is also touching, especially after all of the awful ways we've seen fans treated by bigger companies over the years. Antibirth is big enough as is, Repentance doesn't care though and puts even more on top of it.
