Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team members conduct fast rope demonstration

October 11, 2019 - Service members from the San Diego-based Coast Guard Maritime Security Response Team West fast rope from a Coast Guard HH-60 Jay Hawk helicopter down to the deck of the Coast Guard Cutter Steadfast (WMEC 623) during San Francisco’s Fleet Week Parade of Ships. MSRT-West service members undergo advanced training and are technically proficient in specialized techniques to operate alongside federal, state and local partners to protect the nation from threats at sea and in air.
