Eduardo Blanco had a playoff run for the ages. Although the Matanzas Cocodrilos fell just short of capturing their second straight Cuban National Series, Blanco did all he could. His bases clearing triple in the 6th game of the finals looked to make a Game 7 inevitable, however the Granma Alazanes battled back to take the title in walk off fashion.
That big hit was not Blanco’s biggest moment of the playoffs as his game saving catch in extra innings against the Leñadores in Game 5 of the Semi-Final.
His leap at the fence is the Cuban National Series Play of the Year for 2020/2021.
