Cherry Blossom Week 3 Peak Blooms & Fairmont Hotel Themed Tea

We ventured back to Washington, DC to see the blossoms. They reached peak bloom around April 1st. By Sunday, April 5th, they were starting to fall but many still had the lovely flowers.Show more

After we visited the Tidal Basin, we drove to Fairmont Hotel DC to do their cherry blossom themed tea. The menu is Japan inspired. Everything was delicious my favorite being those rose petal scones and the sake jelly. I thought pickled cherry blossom would be weird, but it was actually pretty tasty.
