Taking the Fight To A Whole New Level
Today is a big day for the ACLJ. We just announced the launch of our sister organization, ACLJ Action. This new organization will have the ability to unleash its full advocacy powers to reach you in your state. ACLJ Action will not only review legislation, but actually create and put forward legislation on specific issues that are relevant at the federal level, the state level, and even at the local level.
ACLJ Chief Counsel and my dad Jay Sekulow explained how this would work:
"If there is something that someone needs to be sued over . . . the American Center for Law and Justice is going to be there. But ACLJ Action will be able to stop it before, giving another way of approaching this, for the families of the United States who want to see their interests protected here in the United States and globally."
Jay added what issues this new organization can dive into:
"Countering China, protecting the unborn, energy independence, religious liberty, defending Israel and fighting antisemitism, defending persecuted Christians around the world . . . inflation and economic and freedom, border security, parental rights, free speech and Big Tech, fighting the global march of communist ideology. The ACLJ can't file a lawsuit on communist ideology unless it was somehow involved in something that could be litigated, but ACLJ Action can get involved. . . . The idea here is to complete the circle of capability. And this new team in place has got extensive experience under the previous Administration. They are going to be able to fight for you in a different way. And I am very encouraged about where this is going."
ACLJ Senior Advisor for National Security and Foreign Policy and former Acting Director of National Intelligence Ric Grenell gave his take on this new organization:
"This is really great. Taking it into this arena and defining issues in the great way the ACLJ does, I know there are legal obstacles and that is why we are creating ACLJ Action, to be able to get more biting when it comes to the fight. I love it. I hope that people will join."
Ric has experience in this arena under the Trump Administration. He summed up how important this work is:
"One of the reasons I love being a part of the ACLJ is because we don't do everything. And what you've really mastered here at this organization is to figure out where your niche is. Where can you make a difference? Over the years, obviously what you do as you have mastered the legal fight, is to see what needs to be done in a more action-oriented viewpoint. . . . It is incredibly important because if you don't get ahead of these issues, you're constantly going to have a legal fight. There are times when if you take action beforehand, you can avoid a legal fight . . . . I love this idea, count me all in."
We do believe this new organization will have a real impact. Go to https://acljaction.org for more information.
