Soul Speak #25 (Mar 16/22) "You search the scriptures for eternal life, but you will not come to Me"

A ReneGade commentary on John 5:39 -
"You pore over the Scriptures because you presume that by them you possess eternal life. These are the very words that testify about Me,"

The Bible will be much more interesting and enlightening when we are aware of the two characters that are at play throughout the entire book. As Christians, we have been conditioned to think of these as "God vs. Devil", two entities outside or external to our awareness.

How I view and observe it today, the two characters or roles in the "play" are our Ego Self and Spirit Self, Satan and God. Both of these are acting out their role WITHIN our being.

So, coming back to the verse above, I see Jesus referring to this very concept. He was talking about himself, but also about everyone else. The Scripture accounts testify about 'Me' (Ego Self) and 'I am' (Spirit Self).
In the long-run, it will do us no good to "come to Jesus" to find life, because that points us away from ourselves, and we must find and come to 'Me' (I am, myself) in order to have life.

There is a common saying that people use when they go through midlife crisis..."I am trying to find myself"... that's it! ❤
