Love Hertz - Aaron Mostow, Kevin Flores, Rodolfo Tagle

Aaron Mostow, Kevin Flores, Rodolfo Tagle III are seasoned veterans in the Los Angeles creative community who come from culturally rich, minority backgrounds and have joined forces to pen a Love Hertz, a story of an underdog DJ who later grapples with the twists and turns of overnight success and finding true love.

Aaron is a producer, sound engineer, and founder of a boutique media & creative company Catapult World who was born into a vibrant Filipino and Jewish household. Kevin is the son of Edudorean parents and he is an esteemed recording engineer, hip-hop producer, writer, and father who connected with Aaron while studying at the Musicians Institute. Rodolfo was born in the Philipines and raised in Santa Ana, CA. He began break dancing at age 18 and since the early 00s has sharpened his writing skills to develop ideas for film and TV.

Love Hertz was originally intended to be a script for film. After pitching countless production agencies and networks to no avail, the three creatives took matters into their own hands and pivoted to adapt the story into a self-published book.

Described as a “romantic comedy, with a sci-fi twist, set in the world of electronic dance music,” Love Hertz depicts the journey of Taj, a struggling DJ in his 20s striving to succeed at his musical endeavors and finding love. As he navigates around proving his demanding father and society wrong in finding a more practical career, Taj is beaten down after a terrible debut performance and retreats to his studio to make new music. During this session, he discovers a strange sound emanating a mysterious frequency that would dramatically change his life. Love Hertz follows Taj’s journey as he learns of the frequency’s irresistible power to attract women and balancing a series of empty sexual encounters, taming his ego, and embarking on a quest to find true love.

With all three authors’ holding unique skill sets in the creative field, Love Hertz is a compelling and engaging story that appeals to anyone who is a fan of beats, laughs, and love. Like Taj, the authors see themselves as underdogs who have gone through the rigamarole of navigating through societal expectations and have lived the lives of "starving artists." A key takeaway from the authors' collective journey and the book itself, is amidst so much turmoil in the world, you still have to find time to keep it light and laugh.
