A little video again on naval movements, this was posted on twitter about 9 hours ago. So it’s likely a little bit out of date, but I figure it’ll be interesting to take a look. So this is from the Sea of Azov, with the known locations of Russian ships highlighted.

So, near Mariupol, Russia has had a pair of Natya class minesweepers—the Vice Admiral Zakharin and the Valentin Pikul. Russia has eight of the Natya-class minesweepers in service. They are in the same area as the Project 22160 patrol ship the Pavel Derzhavin. These are called patrol ships, but don’t think of them as being small vessels—they have a displacement of 1,300 to 1,700 tons so they are actually pretty large and pretty new, in commission from 2018.

All three of these ships are attached to the 184th Novorossisysk Coastal Defense Brigade.

In the center, we have a pair of SB-45 tugs. The Kaptain Guriev and Nikolay Muru. Called seagoing tugs, but they also perform other duties such as rescue.

Finally, patrolling near Chuska Island, we have A Grisha III corvtette the Suzdalets, operating in an anti-submarine role. Given its position, I am guessing Russia is using the Suzdalets to stop any possible NATO submarine from creeping into the sea of Azov.

So, just a little video there about Russian ship movements. Thanks for listening and if you could like and subscribe, that would be great. Later today or tomorrow, I plan to do a video on Russia’s armored trains which I only just heard about yesterday and look very cool.
