When Prince presented his album purple rain in 1984 we thought it was about the RAIN. Actually it was about the REIGN. The REIGN of the old Phoenician dynasty. Their colors were purple and sky blue. Prince said in the second verse “you say you wanna leader but you can’t seem to make up your mind,I think you better close it and I’m a guide you to the purple rain.“
