The African continent has the highest rate of female entrepreneurship globally, exceeding the amount of women entrepreneurs in Europe by four times! And in the region of Sub Saharan Africa, 1 in 4 women are entrepreneurs! These ambitious women have the potential to add US$15 trillion to the continent’s GDP.

Yet, #women #entrepreneurs receive less than 4% of venture capital funding and face many obstacles in getting the resources they need to get their business going, resulting in a funding gap of US$42 billion.
