Why Does My Cat Meow So Much?

Her meow is her method of interacting with others. Cats meow for a variety of reasons, including greetings, requests, and informing us when something is wrong. Meowing is an unusual vocalization in that mature cats do not meow at each other, only at people. Kittens meow to alert their mothers when they are cold or hungry, but cats no longer meow to other cats after they reach a certain age. However, they continue to meow at humans throughout their lives, most likely because it gets others to do what they want. Cats also yowl, which is similar to meowing but longer drawn out and melodious. Adult cats, unlike kittens, yowl at one another, especially during mating season.
