DEVELOPERS CONTINUING DILUVION! Survival Playthrough

We will be playing the HARd old-version of my favorite feel-good game, Diluvion. The developers have recently announced that they will be picking up the game again to continue working on it! Good! I encouraged and thanked them on Steam. In the meantime they have kindly told us how to alternate between the old original version of the game, and the newer updated version of the game. It is as simple as choosing which version you want from the steam installer, on the game page in your library. I am running through this to experience the harder boss fights, the original look and feel of the game for comparison, and to see if the story lines are any different. My overall impression is that there was a lot of give and take. A lot of thigs were added, and a lot of things were removed, so that choosing the old or new versions of the game, you would gain or lose something either way. It is really interesting and it shows the way that some of the plots were supposed to work in the newer version, but which were never reimplemented. The survival mode is harder by far, and the Yamato Crab was almost the end of me! All of this is fascinating to me, and nothing is going to turn me off! Onward to the bottom of the sea!
