Although the EU Parliament has no formal role at all in the implementation of the WHO treaties, the Parliament must give its consent to the renegotiated treaty. Anderson appeals to citizens: "Let the MEPs know what you want! Write to them! Let your MEPs know that you do not want to be patronised by an unelected body.

Anderson also reminds us that protest can be very effective, as the failed compulsory vaccination shows. Without the protesting citizens who took on vilification and reprisals, this success would not have been possible - of that Anderson is certain. Now, however, citizens must once again defend their rights against an aloof elite.

Because, as Anderson emphasises: freedom and democracy are not negotiable. What is always negotiable, however, are the elected representatives of the people. Elected representatives who promote the disenfranchisement of representatives should therefore be "chased out of the village in disgrace." She will continue to stand up for freedom and the rule of law, Anderson assured. With the help of the citizens, she said, it will be possible to thwart the takeover of democracy by an unscrupulous power elite.
