(RI) S2219 Press Conference - Erika Sanzi Supports Closing Loophole Allowing Person In Authority From Having Any Sexual Contact With Minors

Erika Sanzi, Director of Outreach at Parents Defending Education Providence County, Rhode Island, has been fighting to close a massive loophole in Rhode Island law that seemingly allows sexual contact between an adult and minor from the age of 14 on up with their consent.

Oddly enough, the ACLU and the teacher's unions opposed the initial bill's offering to close the loophole years ago.

Since then, the Rhode Island legislature has shown minimal interest in closing this loophole until enough parents and outraged citizens have spoken out.
