Suggested Instrumental Combinations:

The arrangement may be played by many every brass instrument, in one key or another. The G Version is playable by high brass instruments, the A Version is playable by low brass instruments, and the C Version has two available octaves and is playable by all brass instruments, save for tuba (because the range is quite high).

Performance Notes:

This is a composition inspired by one of the artworks of the composer’s friend, Taylor Law. Upon first seeing the works, he imagined a person ready to “step through the skyline.” He hoped to infuse that idea with hope and courage. This piece is his interpretation of the artwork.
