Hi, I'm Dr. Angela McBrearty of DoctorFlute.com, and today I’m partnering with the Flute Center of New York to review this beautiful Amadeus by William S. Haynes Model 680 step-up flute.

Listen for the tone and response time as I tongue & slur, do some low register tonguing, try to get an edgier sound, and discuss the resistance in the 3rd octave. I will also discuss the cut of the lip plate on this Q-Series headjoint, and review the mechanism, how it feels in my fingers.
