Southern Illinois flooded woods; draining the swamp, Bobcat mini excavator

April 2021; At a top secret location deep in the woods of Southern Illinois we are on another mission with the Bobcat e42 mini excavator! In today's mission we are trying to drain the swamp so to speak... Well at least a very flooded deep woods road that is completely submerged in water. I will try to dig a large watering hole and drain the swamp road into the new watering hole, and in doing so I will pile several large piles of fill for my friend Mark to later fill in the low road in the summer when things dry up. This is a multi pronged approach at draining this road. First, of course I will divert the standing water, (or at least a large portion of it) into a new, deep wildlife watering pond, and then when things dry up this summer, Mark can then add several inches of the fill to the low and flooded road, thereby multiplying the 'drying' effect on the now flooded road. Join me in the cab of the Bobcat mini excavator and get some fresh air and see if we can improve this Southern Illinois hunting property for my friend's future use.
