Desperate Russian Marines lose him with commander in drone strike leaked audio
A PANIC Russian marine desperately pleads for air cover after his Raptor ship is under constant attack by Ukrainian drones near Snake Island in the Black Sea.

The dramatic and terrifying incident was captured by Ukrainian intelligence from an intercepted radio exchange between the soldier and his commander, who is based at Crimean Naval Headquarters. The Marine lost his cool and told the commander "this is a mess" after his calls for help were heeded. The Russian Raptors were attacked last Sunday as they were patrolling the waters of the strategically important Snake Island in the Black Sea.

The island was captured by Russian forces early in the war and has been fiercely contested ever since.

Occupying the islands allows Russia to effectively control the waters, land and air in the northwestern part of the Black Sea and in the south of Ukraine.

During the attack, two Raptors were fired by missiles fired from the Bayraktar TB-2 drone, leaving the Russian navy with only 3 more patrol boats in the Black Sea.
