A Ladder Meltdown That Ended In A Mirror Finish and a Melting Aluminum Ingot

Hello everyone 👋🏻!

I found this piece of ladder, it was sitting outside for a while now so I took it home to make some ingots 😁. First I cut it into pieces that would fit in the crucible and squeeze them flat in a vice. So I could add more and it takes less time 😉.

I wirebrushed all the ingots and I started with the biggest ingot to make it shine. I sanded it down with the ginder 80G then I used small disks on my drill machine 120G-240G-600G-800G-1000G
From now I’m using a little WD-40 for the finer paper. So the dust doesn’t stick. 1200G-2000G-3000G. And at least I used the buff piece I attached to my drilling machine and voila, a mirrored finish ingot. (It took me several hours to be honest, so I only did one😅)

This is my shiniest ingot I’ve got and I’m so happy with it😁.
