Watch The Process…… (Part 1)
SODC (aka All That Jazz Dance Studio - rebranded in 2020) has had the privilege of being asked to represent the United States youth Contemporary Dance in 5 performance tours of Austria, Europe with the National TANZSOMMER dance concert series: first in 2003 (when we were "discovered" at a regional dance competition in Oregon by a Tanzsommer Rep), then again in 2007, 2011, 2015 and 2020. Unfortunately, our 2020 performance tour was canceled due to the unfounded mandates imposed on the world at that time :-( .....
BUT.... watch as our 2015 Production dancers (ages 14-17) learn a piece from the Master professional Contemporary choreographer himself, Wes Veldink.
Here in Part 1, the ensemble learns the choreography from Wes in their first 4-hour rehearsal. Watch Part 2 to see the final piece – to music- in studio, danced by all of the ensemble members one final time at the end of their session. It was a show-stopper in Europe when it was on stage and garnished stomping (the Austrian tradition to show the highest honor to performers) and standing ovations at the close of the show.
Memories that are priceless, proving that hard work, great talent and working with those who have the GIFT of choreographic genius is unsurpassed in the resulting outcome.

Thank you, Wes.... thank you, dancers....
