On June 2, 1977, at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune in North Carolina, AJ Styles was born Allen Neal Jones. He grew up in poverty with an alcoholic father who was abusive. He dropped out of college to pursue a career in professional wrestling. To bolster his money, he manicured lawns and drove ambulances. He began his career with NCW before moving on to WCW and WWE. Ring of Honor catapulted him to popularity. He was one of the first big names to sign with TNA. He's considered a TNA Original. From 2002 through 2013, he worked for TNA. In TNA, he won five world titles. He began working for NJPW in 2014 and stayed till January 2016.
