The Gospel Truth

The saying is sure and worthy of full acceptance,
that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners.
And I am the foremost of sinners
(1 Timothy 1:15)

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received,
that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures,
that He was buried,
that He was raised on the third day in accordance with the scriptures,
(1 Corinthians 15:3)

And you, who were dead in trespasses
and the un-circumcision of your flesh,
God made alive together with Him,
having forgiven us all our trespasses,
having canceled the bond which stood against us
with its legal demands;
this He set aside,
nailing it to the cross.
