Picking Rhubarb before the SNOW!

Lori Fiechter here, looking outside the window now at our apple tree with pink blossoms covered in white snow! We tried covering some of the peach trees today, but we are due for two very cold nights in a row so right now we don't know if we'll have any fruit at all this year. I picked the biggest rhubarb stalks yesterday and today I made a batch of strawberry rhubarb jam and two batches of strawberry rhubarb sauce. That used up only 1.5 gallons of the 4 gallons of chopped rhubarb! I'll deal with more of it...tomorrow! Might have to take some snow pics tomorrow...
