Rascally Rogue Rabbit in the new garden!

Lori Fiechter on a perfect garden-planting day: sunny and calm and pleasant! We didn't get the whole garden planted, but Stan tilled up enough to plant the cabbages and peppers. It has been such a cold spring that the peppers were becoming root-bound; it was quite difficult to extricate some of them from those plastic pots!

After I came inside and was working at my computer, I spied a wild rabbit venturing too close to the new plants! I opened the window to startle him off, but within 5 minutes, he was back. Rocket, where are you when we need you? ....update: we are headed out now at 8:30pm to put milk jugs on the plants small enough to fit in them!

Tomorrow the plan is to plant the tomatoes, as well as the few cucumbers and the two zucchini plants. I have flowers to plant as well. We'll see how the day progresses.
