There is complete silence on this case of Anthony William's death. How do residents interpret the silence? Is this an indication of the value of life we hold in our community? There have been many recent examples of Placer County releasing dangerous prisoners who have killed or attempted to kill residents and/or peace officers. Is this happening on purpose? What does this say about our county's value on life? Does this value reflect the overall attitude of the residents or the sheriff or of someone else? Silence + many deaths = what?
