Point Defiance Tacoma Part 1

Point Defiance was initially recognized as a military installation in the early 1800's. However, President Cleveland authorized Port Defiance to be a park in 1888. The park is 730 acres with old growth trees, wildlife, gardens, boating, trails, and a zoo & aquarium.
