It's Only A Paper Moon For The Rest of My Life

Ipto Lumberjack (yes, that's his name) and the Little River Band (LRB) join together on today's Segue City Special. Ipto runs back to the Thirties with his rendition of "It's Only a Paper Moon" while LRB does their take on the Beatles' "In My Life" and those are the ingredients for today's segue. If life is but a dream, all of this is happening and yet not and what does it all mean? Why does the Mayor put these kinds of segues together? Why is the sky blue? These and other eternal questions will get answered yet, but today we're heading to the beach so tomorrow is another day and we'll think on them later...

Segue City is a recurring short-form programming element. At some point it will be a part of "The Big Kahuna." That’s an Internet Radio format that’s a part of Global Entertainment Technology that was created by Dain L. Schult.

It revives the art of mixing two songs together in a seamless pattern where it is tough to tell where the first song ended and the second one began. Sometimes the segues may also revolve around thematic ideas like matching or similar song titles.

Other times there are hidden meanings and Easter Eggs in the mix as well. We'll try anything because no two Segue City Specials will ever be exactly the same...
