A JoATMoN w/ A Tight Draw - The LH Cigars Nick Londsdale - CIGAR REVIEWS by CigarScore

Today's cigar for review comes from a new-to-me brand, LH Cigars, and this is the “Nick” lonsdale. The first thing I noticed about this LH Cigars Nick Londsdale is the closed foot – a feature I've come to enjoy.

After cutting through the end, I tasted something fairly interesting, the distinct taste of barbeque. Once I'd had a few puffs, the flavors were a little funky but quite spicy, but the draw was fairly tight. We'll see if the draw opens up.

Upon closer examination, I noticed that about 1/2 inch from the tip, the cigar was extremely hard. And, in the middle of the cigar, as everything heated up, the cigar was squishy, which might mean that this cigar is underfilled.

By the way, JoATMoN stands for Jack of All Trades, Master of None. I just make up the acronym. It's MINE!

Through the middle of the cigar, the draw continued to be, honestly, terrible. I had to work too hard to get enough smoke to taste the cigar.

However, the flavors I could get from LH Cigars' Nick Lonsdale were spicy and leathery and, perhaps, a little buttery.

Final Thoughts

After smoking the LH Cigars Nick Lonsdale for almost 90 minutes, I'd say that there's nothing really special about this cigar. From my experience, when you have tobacco from more than four countries, you get a cigar that has indistinctive flavors that are mediocre at best, and that's the case here. No one flavor stands out, and nothing really shines.

Additionally, the tight draw really made this cigar difficult to taste and enjoy. While the flavors weren't bad, I did have to work too hard to taste what I did.

That said, if you could get a good draw on this cigar, you might really enjoy it. And that's this stick's saving grace. Had this experience not been botched by an impossibly tight draw, the Nick might've scored higher, but alas, the LH Cigars Nick Lonsdale I smoked earns a CigarScore 3.
