Congresswoman Shelia Jackson Lee remarked that reparations would pave the way towards a more just society. Many conservative detractors of reparations root their arguments in claims of collective guilt and victimhood. Mr. Watson agrees. However, he sees a more pernicious issue with reparations: the reparations supporter completely misunderstands human nature and, in a broader sense, reality. From that premise, he provides three reasons as to why reparations for slavery are a profoundly immoral idea.
