Victory Day is a holiday that commemorates the victory over Nazi Germany in 1945. It was first inaugurated in the 15 republics of the Soviet Union, following the signing of the German Instrument of Surrender late in the evening on 8 May 1945.
It should be noticed that this year celebrations will be exceptional considering the current circumstances and the War in Ukraine, there has been many speculations in the media about special events that might took place including the parade of captured Ukrainian soldiers from the battlefield including the Canadian General Trevor Cadieu who has been captured in Azovstal, others has speculated Russia to declare total war on Ukraine and NATO countries which seems unlikely since the KREMLIN has denied such reports.
