Homemade Quinine Juice

Make your own quercetin juice with organic citrus fruits, water and honey. It is very bitter so you can also add cloves, ginger and cinnamon sticks for added benefits and flavor. I mix in local honey after I strain the juice into a large mason jar. It makes it more palatable and honey has it's own separate benefits.
The juice of grapefruit contains natural quinine. It can also be found in tonic water. It also contains quercetin which is a pigment found in the skins and leaves of plants. It is often referred to as a phytochemical or flavonoid which are substances produced by plants that are beneficial to humans.
Be sure to use organic fruit so you do not ingest pesticides. I take one sip each morning with my breakfast or vitamins. Other fruits and vegetables that have high quercetin are onions, kale, cherry tomatoes, broccoli, blueberries and apples(with skin on) and all organic of course or grow your own.
