Initially I open up with my new sweatshirt from 'We Are Change', and refer to my recent article in TCW, but as I get into the regular process, I start with the Pensions Regulator, and this is what led to the episode title.

I show the base data that demonstrates we are being told that we have an aging population, but in reality, over the past 5 years, we have lost 545,000 pensioners. Anyone thinking 'moronovirus', nope, that's not the answer. Begs the question, is Government 'taking out' pensioners?

I then discuss the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council and how irrelevant they are, citing a case of 'white finger'.

Finally I look toward the Social Security Advisory Committee, which raises the issue of secondary legislation.

The key takeaway this week though must be the reduction in pensioners, so any similar data in other countries that go directly opposite to the rhetoric, let me know.
