Greek meatballs
1 pound beef
1/2 onion diced (preferably fine)
1/2 shallot (optional)
2 cloves of garlic fine dice
1 slice of bread or equivalent in Italian breadcrumbs
(I don’t use bread due to a gluten allergy my wife has)
1/3 cup of mint leaf fresh of dry
1 tablespoon oregano
1 tablespoon of salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 tablespoon of beef bouillon powder (optional)
2 ounces of red wine
1 tablespoon butter or an egg
Combine all ingredients and shape the meatballs like little sausages. Grab a pan and lay them in pan and use a large can of tomato sauce and cover the meatballs with tomato sauce. Cook at 350F for 30-40 minutes. You don’t need to do anything to the sauce because all the flavor will come from the meatballs. I have a short video on how to steam white rice it’s very easy and takes about 10 minutes.
