Mother's Kitchen Window, new decorated mug

Hi
This creation is an example of a kitchen window on a Queenslander style house.
In Queensland, my home state in Australia, this style was quite common.
The beauty about these houses was the windows that opened out, some of the windows were stained glass, and the siding of these houses also were wooden, and corrugated tin roofs.
The high ceilings and the ventilation through each room meant that you didn't really need fans.
The wooden floors also helped with the tropical heat.
I have never lived in a Queenslander, but a few of my relatives did and it was such a wonder.
Absolutely loved the feel and smell of these houses and I need to add that they are ornate too, with wide verandahs and bullnose roofing.
I always imagine what it would be like to live in one and how much I would have to do in order the keep it cool in summer and warm in winter.
This creation is a nice reminder of sitting in the garden looking up at the kitchen window and hearing Mum or Aunty or Granny shouting out, "lunch is ready"!
I can imagine a nice hot mug of tea with milk and a slice of cake or biscuits to eat with it!
This brings back lovely memories as a child, it felt so special.
If you would like the buy this mug, it's on the website for $15 and we also charge $10 for P&H.
Many blessings
