First transmitted in 1961, a young David Attenborough goes on a search for the strange creatures that inhabit Madagascar. David and his crew witness the local ceremony where the graves of the dead are opened to much fanfare. Its a form of ancestor worship in order to secure a good harvest next season and to bestow luck and prosperity on the family. Narrated by Sir David Attenborough.
