Powell ADMITS Defeat

The S&P 500 officially entered a bear market today for a brief second, but the news after hours will be the real headline of the week. In a somewhat surprise interview, Jerome Powell said that a soft landing is out of his control and that inflation will be painful. Powell also reiterated that 50bps rate hikes at the next meetings will most likely be appropriate and that getting inflation under control is his main concern. This had an effect on futures but with everything we have gone through this week, Powell's comments will really test what a lot of traders and investors are thinking. I go over all of this and what happened in the stock market today and the catalysts to watch for coming into next week.
