Legend has it that Jay Turser electric guitars from the 90s and early 2000s were made in Asia under the strict quality control guidelines of a British luthier, perhaps Jay Turser himself.
Whether or not the lore is true, I've now played enough Tursers to know that they can be spectacular for the price. I own two of them and they compare to high-end guitars many times their price.
In this video I resurrect my son Eli's long-neglected JT-220D, which languished in its case for the past decade largely due to my guilt at having broken its neck in an easily avoidable accident.
