Why is it that I'm not so hopeful about us getting out of debt as a country?

The first and biggest reason is this.

People believe we can "solve" the existing debt issue.

The Problem with that?

WE'RE STILL SPENDING!

Few people bring that up.

ABSOULTELY EVERYBODY needs to understand it's the case.
